Plant Oils & Butters
These ingredients create the foundation, glide, richness and after-feel of many OB&B formulas.
Sunflower Oil
What it brings: Lightweight slip and a soft, conditioned skin feel.
Found in many OB&B bar soaps, body oils and Healthy Scalp Oil.
Grapeseed Oil
What it brings: A light, fluid carrier oil that helps body oils spread easily without feeling overly heavy.
Found in OB&B body oils.
Jojoba Oil
What it brings: Silky slip, conditioning and a polished finish.
Found in body oils, select body butters, Aloe Baby, Lip Balm and Healthy Scalp Oil.
Hemp Seed Oil
What it brings: Softness, suppleness and a distinctive botanical-oil character.
Found in many bar soaps, body oils, body butters and Lip Balm.
Coconut Oil
What it brings: In soap, cleansing power and bubbly lather. In leave-on products, richness and glide.

Shea Butter
What it brings: Cushion, melt, creaminess and rich conditioning character.
Found in body butters and many bar soaps.
Mango Butter
What it brings: Creamy structure and a smooth, soft finish in whipped formulas.

Cocoa Butter
What it brings: Body, structure and a more substantial moisturized feel.

Castor Oil

Palm Oil
What it brings: Helps selected cold-process soaps become firmer and longer-lasting with creamy lather.

Why Is Sodium Hydroxide in Soap?
Traditional cold-process soap is made through saponification. Sodium hydroxide is the alkali used to transform oils and butters into soap. We list it because ingredient transparency includes explaining the soapmaking process, not hiding unfamiliar ingredient names.
Distilled water is also used during this process to prepare the soap mixture and support consistent small-batch production.
Aromatic Botanicals
Our skincare scent profiles come from aromatic botanical ingredients selected for the personality they bring to a finished formula. We describe them by aroma rather than making therapeutic promises.
