Our Story

OB&B Skincare was born in 2021 when I left my medical career to return to something I learned at my grandmother's side—the art of traditional lye soap making. My name is Omeka Mitchell, and after my own personal skin struggles, I realized that so many people were searching for relief from uncomfortable skin but couldn't find products that were both effective and truly natural.

The Science Meets Tradition

With a science degree and years in the medical field, I combined clinical knowledge with generations-old formulation techniques to create skincare that actually works. Every soap, body butter, body oil, candle, and gentle baby care product is handcrafted in small batches in my dedicated studio, using minimal, cruelty-free ingredients—no fillers, no mystery chemicals, just intentional care.

When I'm not formulating, you'll find me in my garden tending vegetables and honey bees. That same patience and attention goes into every product I make. I still work full-time as a support coordinator for adults and children with intellectual disabilities, but OB&B Skincare is my way of extending that care to everyone who needs it.
